My brother & loads of other fans spent large amounts of time in that 2nd half prowling the concourse because they couldnt watch & when the Russians shot was somehow saved I had to tell him it didnt go in as he had his eyes closed. After the semi finals was when I had an inkling this might be our time. Probably my personal greatest ever experience following utd. Never thought I would ever see us win a trophy at 'that place'

We only had 12,000 that day due to renovation works at Hampden,i think the capacity was around 38,000 at the time.A great book about that day is Kissing Strangers by Gwen Mcllroy it gives you stories from fans,players wives etc.The Ricky Ross chapter is a tearjerker,FACT.Originally Posted by Dave63
