respect Alf, wish it was Everton....
Thanks Alf
A shame it was you and not Everton but as was said earlier there is still hope. All depends on whether the Premier League and FA have any balls.
Thanks Alf, with the relative resources, on balance, Burnley did better than us and, to be honest we were lucky. I still think it's strange that you sold Wood at a crucial time - particularly when he doesn't get into the Mags' starting XI. As others have said, it's a shame Everton didn't go down but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the FA to show any spine or morale courage.
Not going to argue with too much above except the comment on us "being lucky". I think we were very unlucky. Bamford, Philips, cooper, Dallas injuries. We also had a tough run in. The only piece of luck was the sending off against Wolves, but we were 2 - 0 down at the time and a lot to do.
OK but I specifically meant quite lucky yesterday - them going down to 9 men (a really stupid yellow for shirt removal), Harrisons deflected shot finding the corner (on another day it would have gone for a corner) and Target heading off the line at Newcastle.
On balance, you are right in that, over the course of the season, we have had much more bad luck than good.
Well Hopey, its been an absolutely disgraceful shower of sh*ite from us this season. In fact its probably been the worst ever season for fans, certainly since the early-mid 70s.
And its all down us being run appallingly by some greedy ignorant foreign owners. They haven't got a clue and they don't give a rats toss about us.
But apart from that, Im still laffing my head off as usual. 😛
You're not alone in much of what you describe Acido, and I don't necessarily refer to LUFC (OK, a bit!). Clubs across the UK are bought and sold by "businessmen" who have little or no ability to manage a business like no other (at least Radrizzani has been working in that world for a while), and football suffers as a result. The authorities (national and international) bear a heavy responsibility for allowing national leagues (especially but not exclusively in the UK) to be raped and pillaged by these appalling individuals.
