Would like to see some solid championship players. Some good ones available. Many are durable and physical
Been linked with two US midfielders
Aaronsenn which is supposed to be almost done and Tyler Adams - good player but slightly injury prone (should fit right in)
They would be a very good start if true and they happen.

I guess so - we probably need at least 6 incoming (and that many outgoing) so they could raid the EFL.
They have scouted Downes, O’Brien and Knight before so who knows.
Not sure we have the ability to find suitable replacements for those who are likely to depart. Even with Bielsa at the club, our record on recruitment over the last 4 - 5 seasons is pretty dire. The squad he inherited was essentially the one that got us promoted (and made such an impression in the first season back in the PL). With the exception of Bamford, Raphina, Harrison and Meslier, even with Bielsa to act in some scouting capacity, our incomings haven't matched expectations in any way shape or form.
The focus on one or two players, to the detriment of looking at the wider marketplace, has cost us dear, and the Aaronsson situation would suggest that "myopia" is still with us (driven one assumes by the 49-ers desire to introduce more American players, rather than focussing on what's crucial, "can they play well and contribute in the PL"). Everyone knows my views on Orta, but it's the whole recruitment team that isn't performing, not just him (unless of course he's doing it all himself, which might just be true and would explain a lot!).
Repeating what we've done recently won't get us what we need, that's for sure.
Rumour has it we are back in for Eddie Nketiah.
Be a cracking signing that.
Nketiah would indeed be a cracking signing, the boy is superb in the box, a born goalscorer.
So he better than JG?
if we fill the team with Championship players, we end up with a Championship team. I would hope our scouting network is wider than that and that we sign players capable of PL standard on a regular basis.
Certainly not advocating a team full. Just 2 or 3. well suited for physical teams such as Wolves and Burnley. There are almost alway 2-3 teams in the prem that are very physical in the team makeup and strategy.
Would like to see 3 quality additions, in defence /CM / striker positions, and then say 3-4 Championship type players throughout squad.
For an up and coming striker, Antoine Semenyo ( Bristol City ) raw, but quick / athletic.
