We still need a defensive midfielder who can ideally play centre back if required too. Hopefully sign some international out of nowhere!

Have to take my hat off to TA and united. Transfer business has been spot on this window so far Wld be fantastic if we sign McGrath. Hopefully still looking at another attacking option.

If we don't sign more defensive midfielders then Harkes will need to be utilised in a deeper role. Where he is usually pretty gash. Can't get my head around it. I'm all for attacking reinforcements but we need some steel in the middle of the park asap

Maybe, but Sibbald, Levitt and Harkes would be our options... None of them scream defensive midfielder. Would just like someone in that can do a bit of what Butcher did. Centre back/Centre mid.

Was young moore not more of a defensive mid than those options mentioned? Maybe chance to put a bit of faith in a youngster, though he hasn’t been in and around first team, or maybe still injured.

Not sure about Middleton, never stood out to me and been in a team that was worse than us going forward, but I don’t know enough about him either to really judge. Just hope it’s not a case of other targets ahead of him being ruled out.

Aye, A59 is not the poster I initially thought he/she was, therefore i'll take this with a pinch of salt. Looking back on previous posts (of which there aren't many), there's a lot of rumours about signings. Very few have actually been right.

I get its a football forum with fake names and freedom of speech etc but people need to held accountable (in general, not specifically talking about A59) for just posting ****e online without any real substance behind it.

Glass off to Derry til the World Cup break. Interesting but hopefully it works out for him getting more game time. Connelly being there to help him might actually be a very useful thing.

New one year extension for the lad too. Gives time to prove he is ready for United or the option that we can look to gain a fee perhaps if we do move him on next summer.

Really want him to succeed.
