We are in the sh#t, make no mistake about it but, to be fair, the damage was done at the start of the season when JR became manager and for on reason or another, single handedly managed to wreck our season! We have had to pay through the nose for this and this season is more about recovery. Any plan that we had to build on last season, has been blown apart. We are now looking at best, at a massive rebuild in the squad for next season...that is a massive job! We don't have an endless supply of cash to throw at the problem and we need to move people on to get people in...and even then, what we can afford might not be good enough to improve the team.

That's a great summary. A lot will depend on Watt moving, which could potentially free up wages for a couple of players. We spent a lot in the summer, plus the JR fiasco which has undoubtedly cost us a few hundred grand. Can absolutely see why we're being cautious this window, however it would be nice to get a couple in, be it loan deals or on the back of Watt p*ssing off.

I actually don't think we are that far away from a decent set of players, so no wholesale changes in the summer.

We have Harkes, Smith,Pawlett, Newman, Edwards all out of contract (I think)... With Fletcher and Mulgrew another year older, Watt potentially away this window,McGraths loan ending, Behich probably going along with McLeod...then I reckon that we are going to need a fair few faces in...or we are looking at extending the contracts of those leaving. You are right...I don't think we are a million miles off being decent this season but next season is going to be massive! This is way I reckon loan deals are going to be what we need to see out this season! It's a sh#te state if affairs but it is what it is!
