If he is not as good as Butcher then we are in trouble as apart from a small run of games playing at the back Butcher has been dreadful, when he wasn't either suspended or injured, never mind all the crap behind the scenes.

Thankfully Gogic is not Butcher. Thought Gogic would have been a good signing when he was at Hamilton. Then he went to Hibs. A player Jack Ross knows well having signed him previously.

Nowadays managers/sporting directors place a lot of emphasis on off field stuff. I’m guessing Butcher has been labeled a “bad egg”. Probably lost the trust of most of the dressing room. As much as he might be decent on the field you don’t want a split dressing room and cliques starting up.
