Him and Cameron for those wide-CB roles, Rawlo for general cover, but a top CB signing required for that middle role.
Yeah, I was surprised they released Lacey because he was by far the best ball-player amongst our orthodox central defenders, but if his replacement is a big, strong, dominant, head it and kick it centre-half like Graeme Lee, then it will probably have been worth freeing up the money in the budget.

It wasn't a good blend with Lacey. His lack of leadership, and terrible shows on some of our goals conceded tell you that someone with a lot more presence is needed in that central role. An Ellis-type is better IMO

Lacey's 5 (or was it 4?) goals scored tally was very useful though.

This is very good news and it's a good reflection on where the club is at now that we have players who are loyal and committed to the club. That's not something we could have said in past years as it was a constantly revolving door of ins and outs.

So by the end of his contract he will have been at the club for five seasons. Now our second longest serving player behind JOB.

Much respect to Richard Brindley for committing to the club in less than a week since our play-off defeat.

Brindley has been with us for all 3 seasons we’ve not got back in the league. Hurray.

Brindley should really be playing at least league 2, if not league 1. Also, he missed out on a move thanks to a dodgy agent, he went on holiday thinking a deal was done and missed out so I suspect he now likes to get things sorted early doors which is great for Notts really because he is certainly one of the player we needed to re-sign
