We took the p I s s out of that word even then those of us in our ****s and 20’s as you must’ve been?

I’ll bet you had your mum put a crease in your jeans then did you 923?
I don't really call em slacks other than to amuse my kids. I do like my clothes and really recommend Slaters (there is 1 in Brum.) Before I left my Blazer and Chinos were pressed in the shop. That is service.

Don't remember getting that at Man at Lord John

We used to press stuff at Hepworth’s in the 70’s and early 80’s.

Back in those days I had up to 17 suits in my wardrobe but NEVER a blazer and slacks!

To be totally honest, I could still measure you up for a suit even now, 38 years after leaving the trade, it’s like riding a bike, once trained you never forget.

    Measuring women was scary though.

    Do you know how to measure a woman’s t I t s?

The answer isn’t ......”very carefully” although it should be.

There’s a special trick, same for their inside leg measurement!

We used to measure British Airways air hostesses😎

    100-7 now.

Absolutely pathetic and all started by the idiot Crawley who just can’t help himself when we’re in a decent position.

The rest of them have been pathetic.

There used to be batsmen in cricket, no more, now we have ‘batters’, baseball terminology and it looks like they’ve been practising that wretched American game. I wasn’t able to watch the game live so watched the highlights on BBC2; awful. Jonathan Agnew apart, the commentary team is truly awful, the two women just shriek, can’t keep their mouths shut for one second and Phil Tufnell is an idiot.

Ben Stokes FFS, and people wonder why we are bottom of the test Championship.
Going along nicely with Joe Root then out comes the one day shot.
It’s a finely balanced test match and the clown does that.
    Until players have
    a a technique
    b patience
Then unfortunately England as a test match side are going nowhere

Too much slog cricket is to blame, they get into the mindset of the wretched 20/20 and the abomination that is the 100. The media, too must take a share of the blame and the awful commentators that are used.

Two proper batsmen in now in Root and Woakes.

If they can get through the first 45 on Sunday we’ll win this but we need to get those 61 runs before the new ball is due in 19 overs.

I hope they send Broad in first though if a wicket falls as he’s as likely to get a quick 30 as get out.

No point trying to plod to the win in one of these two goes early.

It’s Foakes not Woakes! I hope that Foakes keeps his wicket because that will help him keep his place as the team’s wicketkeeper. Also, Mick, glad you use the correct terminology, ‘batsmen’!
