Gee I wonder where this thread is going to lead?...again.
So far all gossip & rumour appears to have the same theme running through it - everything USA or Marsch based. Even a possible new coach, US.
Surely our scouting setup and just good old common sense would look worldwide, and not just as it seems at present, all from one continent. Maybe Orta should borrow Michael Palins globe, the world really is a big place, honest.

Can't be arsed, no point.
It is concerning to "put too many eggs in one basket".
we do tend to do that a lot with out current management. At both the player level during transfer seasons as well as scouting over all.
Even if we were recruiting from top football power countries like Brazil, Italy or Germany it's never good to focus on just one feeder stream for your players.
Some teams do very well using lower football power countries (Brentford comes to mind) but they aren't paying top dollar for these players in many cases. We seem to be paying top dollar for some players unproven in the prem.
We didn't pay much for Raph but paid top dollar for Rodrigo got figure.
The point of good management and recruiting is to have top people that really know what they are doing and as far as recruiters go to know how to pick something out of nothing. A club like ours has to do this we can't just go buy players like the top clubs.
10 mil players aren't necessarily worse than 30 mil it's just a matter of knowing what to look for.
Luck can also play some part in raphs case if we had gotten the german player and not switched at the last minute we would be talking differently.
This guy from here only 20 years old is a freak
Just played against barca and starred and did this for the young Socceroos and have been doing freaky things in the local leagues.
Any manager who can only sign players they previously had is a donkey to me.
Need to get a range not just what we can from RB and hope they suddenly all turn into PL quality players after most of their career in the tinpot leagues
Is that the team he won the title with or the one he got sacked from after 6 months?
He was sacked from Leipzig.
The tinpot league he won, he couldn't last at RB Leipzig in a good league.
Look hope they prove good but I just ain't sure about it, and in all honesty like most stuff its probably a lot of cheap paper talk trying to make articles. Minamino to me would signal that we've got no strategy other than hope for some of Marschs old tinpot league players, he's looked poor the entire time he's been in the PL
