He turned things around a fair bit at Sunderland and improved things - lost Josh Maja mid season. Lost last minute goal in play off final v Charlton

Hibs again lost players and the sacking was a strange one

St Mirren were getting relegated season before. Kept them up and then promoted as champion next season

I think he was at Alloa before that were also did well

    Talks a lot of sense

It feels a bit like the Levein appointment for me - someone with some experience now who could do good things for united

I agree with the above comment - query if he wants to work for big Tony. Not a criticism of Tony but not everyone will want the head coach position

GB, I would turn down the Funsters Ad Infinitum.

Doesn’t make me a good manager.

    (Even if I think so)

    Charlie Mulgrew for me

Tam was never as good as the club made out, plucked out of nowhere and had a below average career so why not give Charlie a chance, a winner and a competitor, if stories are to be believed then he runs the training sessions anyway.

Club knew this was happening IMO, no way Tonys young lads interview today was a coincidence, automatically everyone would think he would get it cos if his auld man so he had to come out and say that! Just hope he's a man of his word.

I love Charlie. He’s still an important player. Could he not be assistant manager to an experienced No 1.

We are about to go into Europe.

Even Tam had experience having spent time at Kelty Hearts

If Tam goes. We have to be quick if the mark to get new man in. Don’t want repeat of last season. New man will need time with squad a pre-season and an input on any targets.

How about thon boy Gary Bowyer? Experienced in England, good track record and surely looking for a step up to the Scottish top flight with a big team?
