    Never under-estimate us Brits.

"A ROMAN ship arrives at the foot of a cliff in southern England. Caesar’s cohorts are about to disembark when they notice a near-naked Briton, face painted blue, waving his fists on the clifftop. ‘Come on, you Italian poofs!’ he yells. ‘I’ll take on any ten of you!’

Caesar selects his ten hardest men and they scale the cliff before vanishing from sight. Five minutes later the Briton reappears. ‘That was too easy,’ he boasts. ‘Let’s have a hundred of you.’

After half an hour, a gravely injured Roman crawls down the cliff and with his dying breath gasps: ‘Caesar, it’s a trick. There’s two of them!"

If Caesar and his legions arrived now, they wouldn't be facing near naked Britons issuing threats, they'd be escorted into Dover by the RNLI and put up in a 4 star hotel at taxpayer's expense.

Be fair, I think that's progress of a sort, don't you mon ami ?

They would only stay in the hotel until a plane for Rwanda could be arranged.

You've discounted the Human Rights Lawyers VC, no one is going to Rwanda, not Caesar, not anybody.

Illegal immigration is a very serious problem that needs some very serious people to address it.

Sadly, we have no very serious people currently available.

think in truth we are the immigration legends of all immigration to be honest , I mean based on the facts that all immigrants want to come to the land of milk and honey we can’t be all that bad at it can we ?

The real issue we have is the immigrants themselves who they are and where they come from, we blow billions housing homing and feeding many who simply are here to milk the system for all its worth and exploit the good people of the Uk.

This in turn puts immense pressure on us when incidents like the Ukraine happen where genuine people need help , money and shelter in genuine times of hardship.

Immigration does need strong people in charge of it I agree and it should be managed properly where by control is that immigrants are bringing skills to enhance and better us as a country in the main , I appreciate there will be a percentage who can’t do this but genuinely need help and that is also fine as long as and here’s the key word CONTROL is applied.

Immigrants come here in the main for one reason only to exploit our weak practice and draw of the state - we’re simply a pushover on this subject in this country.

I’ve posted so many times that we can’t live / survive without immigration and I still believe that but it’s spiralled way out of control and we don’t seem as though we dare say no to anyone for fear of upsetting them , so we house them give them money and create what can only be described as perfect in their eyes while we suffer with the knock on effects , higher taxes , less housing for residents , rape , theft , NHS inadequacy ( so we’re told - it’s collapsing under pressure - I’ll bet as it’s treating thousands and thousands more people ) and on and on it goes - so if they have to go to Rwanda to be vetted ( put them off from coming to the gravy train ) then so be it. In my opinion anyway - them if they’re genuine and need help we’ll help.

Legal immigration is your real problem. Of the 1.2 million visas that the Home Office issued in the year ending 3/22, about 470,000 were for students to come into your country with their families...!

    They're having a laugh.

I was having a great afternoon out with the missus yesterday. We had taken advantage of free bus and train travel and went into Manchester and had a gander round the Peoples Museum. Enjoyed a nice lunch and I had another couple of pints in the Wheatsheaf off Tib Lane.

Train back to Bolton and into the Bolton Interchange and walked up to our bus stop. It's all under a new canopied shelter and leaning against a railing was this I think male.

Now I'm about as liberal and tolerant as a person can get but this dress code scared me to death. Almost two meters tall, wearing black track suit bottoms with white Arabic style insignia plastered all over them, and a black puffer jacket with a floppy hood worn up. The person had a black balaclava type face covering with wire glasses and he/she was texting like mad on a mobile 'phone. The temperature was well over 20 degrees centigrade.

I'd probably over done the beer in Manchester, but I was extremely concerned about being blown up. So much so I went and found "security". The dude said he would need to find his colleague and come and investigate.

Long and short of it he came with his mate and stood looking daft for 3/4 minutes and then walked away. The wannabee ISIS member got on the bus to where we were going along with some very concerned looking passengers.

Me and the wife went to Greggs, had a coffee and a doughnut and caught the next bus.

I still think "Security" should have called the police. No wonder the MEN Arena got blown to bits.

I support immigration but for the love of God, when in Rome do as the Romans do eh, or am I being unfair?

Over an early morning cuppa Mrs BT said, I was dead right, because she was not getting on that bus even if I did!

We all know why they come here don't we Army, why they risk their lives to cross the Channel, when they're already in a safe, civilised country like France, but it's the elephant in the room, Lefties foam at the mouth and accuse you of racism if you dare mention it, even our wet, so called Tories are afraid to speak the truth. So we'll continue being the dustbin of the world, and us poor mugs, the British taxpayers will continue to foot the bill, while we have to tolerate the additional strain put on the infrastructure of the country, especially the NHS, schools and housing.

    Never mind though, feck it.
