Aye, he's done well to get us to a semi-final and a final,,,but, in truth, a more forward-thinking manager would have got us the the WC final and won the Euros. His shitty style has only ever been tolerated and, as soon as the results haven't been able to hide the performances, the gloves are off with the fans.

He should be using these players in a more attack-minded way but he's too cautious and defensive-only ever appreciated if you get the results.
I’ve never seen such kind runs in terms of fixtures in the WC and the Euros that England had. After that, a group of talented players was enough to get them as far as they did.
The second half against Italy was Pardew-esq to an alarming degree.
Southgate is not an inspiring person and that’s what you need for the big games. He seems more interested in taking the knee than getting the best out of the talent we have.

He should of went after he bottled the final against Italy. I think he has got England as far as he is capable of. We need a new manager with new ideas to move forward.

As long as they don't come shopping for Eddie Howe.

Mind you if they did I think E.H. wouldn't even consider it. At one time it was the ultimate honour to manage your country but these days a top manager is far better off and more secure managing a top club.

Exactly this, plus when he bottled it against Croatia previously. He’s a rabbit in the headlights when under pressure in big games and sucks the life out of any enjoyment from football like a Dementor with his general negativity.

Alright lads, how you enjoying Nations league football and ****ing cricket, **** enit.
I was thinking like you guys about the issue Beaky is having finding a left back, Targett is the natural choice, he's got a cross in him and loves to bomb forward and he can tie up with Grealish down the left, we got so many goals at Villa with that combination. yes, Targett for me, Naturally.

    Aalreet, Dave.

He's been a revelation for us and, whilst I see the points some of your fans are making about him, as a defender, he's been first class for us so I think he's worth a shot.
