    Is it just me?

Our manager states he is in talks with 2 or 3 potential new signings which he hopes will benefit the squad. IMO we should be only looking to players we KNOW will improve the squad. As a manager it shouldn’t be that difficult to do

No Manager gets signings right all the time (Paul Pogba??), but it largely depends on our scouting network and whether GA trusts them. Our record recently has been patchy, with both gems (KvV) and duds (longer list!!), so lets hope the pluses outweigh the minuses this year. However, it does seem that we have lost fewer players than previous years, so with one or two (hopefully) decent additions, we should have a more settled squad?

Clearly it is though, as evidenced all over the country all the time.

I agree this summer for us we have enough bodies filling spaces that when we only need 3-4 we should be confident of signing quality. In the years there's a rebuild it's impossible though, you're just not going to sign 12-15 guys who all worked out. Last season we clearly signed players (DOC, Amaluzor) simply because we needed to fill the teamsheet for the LC group phase when waiting on our higher choices to commit later in summer.
