From a players perspective it would never be enough, no Champions League, very little of any opportunity for football outside your own division, but with a strain of honesty and integrity that the PL can't match. What is particularly upsetting is that £45m is not enough to acquire a top player from the prem or another league. One really needs £50m to £60m.

Because we have yet another charlatan as owner, another barrow-boy pretending he's a big player when all he is is another wannabe, who's pockets aren't deep enough to match his ambition.

Sadly our fears came to pass - if I had to pick one word to describe how I perceive some of our transfer dealings it would be naive.
Not sure how much Phillips is worth but City had made him a stated target and 42m plus add ons for a CDM (don’t seem that many top quality ones around these days in those circumstances seems low - Brighton, Southampton or Leicester (clubs we seem to want to emulate would surely have held out for more.
Maybe Phillips wanted out and was phased off about Bielsa (they seemed to be close) and didn’t have confidence the new system would suit him - guess we will never know.
Tyler Adams is probably a better player technically but as I said elsewhere very injury prone.
Glad KP got the move he wanted have kept silent about it and good luck to him if he wins some medals.
Let’s see how the replacement comes along.
I guess pre Bielsa a lot of fans viewed KP as many now see Roberts so against that 43m isn’t bad.
