Thread: KP

    KP

If City are going to buy him I hope we use Brightons playbook for selling players - if they are desperate to sign him then should be looking for at least £75m and seeking more given how deep their pockets are.

I dread reading we got a years supply of kitkats, some unknown u23 plays and 10m

Be glad when this one is sorted - One minute he wants to stay next minute he's told us he wants to go to Citeh - like hopey says make the feckers pay a proper price for him as well.

Sadly all signs & noises point to KP leaving. Home grown lad and all that, but club will have to accept & move on.
Value has to be around 70 mill min - that buys quality DM replacement & cash towards the much needed striker.

At any point have you read an interview where he HAS SAID he wants to go there? It is all media spin, I've no doubt he'd be interested but were all pretending he's saying it in public which all he has said is he wants to be at Leeds, that's it.

Personally, in a World Cup year it would be absolutely bonkers for Kalvin or Raphinha to move, they're guaranteed first team starters and as long as they stay fit would be guaranteed to be on the plane for the WC. Kalvin in particularly would likely not be a starter at first for City, he isn't ousting a midfield of De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan, Foden and Bernado Silva. So what does he do? Go there, sit on their bench, then he won't get picked in our first 11 for England and he misses being a key cog at a World Cup.

For me if Rapha goes to Barca, fair enough, that is a dream move for probably 99% of footballers and he would almost certainly start for them. Kalvin going to City would just smack of our club having no ambition to not even be able to convince a home-grown, leeds loving lad to stay in a world cup year with a massive wage and a release clause with a view to moving next summer.

If we lost both, I'd honestly seriously doubt our chances of staying up with this squad even with additions because the change would be too drastic. Without Rapha we'd 100% have been down this year and I think without Kalvin back we'd probably have gone down. To lose them both would be utter idiocy from the board, to lose one I could understand.

Which is fine but don't be putting it on KP as if he has said it, he hasn't. He might go, he might not.

Like all above, nowhere have I seen or heard Phillips say anything about going. If we believed every piece of rubbish the media spouts we'd have signed about 30 players by now.
