Is it just me or does this not seem long enough? Just over two weeks and we welcome back the squad, I would guess one or two more new players in and several going the other way. Just two weeks, wow. We play Walsall in 3 week. This really is going to be a very strange season indeed, hopefully it can work in our favour, all the top clubs will have players out at the world Cup, cannot see any of our crop going, England that is.....

Just what does everyone else do while the world Cup is on? If I had my way, i would carry on with the season especially when you see the size of the squads today!

The world Cup should be boycotted for reasons of morals.
What will happen is someone no one has currently heard of is going to absolutely bang in the world Cup and everyone will be after his signature in the January window.

After the Euros finished we did our transfer business and this in my view was a big factor in such a lukewarm start to the season & what came after. This time around we have a lot of our business done and a full pre season, no will he stay or go circus around JG, just getting on with things under the radar.
I won't be watching any of the WC, to have it in that country is an absolute disgrace - the break is fine, other countries have had to do so.

I too wish to boycott the whole thing WCV. However, I have the morals of an alley-cat, and I will no doubt start by sneak peaking any involvement of Villa players. Then I’ll probably watch the Semi-Finals and Final.
I certainly am not filled with the usual excitement of pre-tournament, like years gone by.
