I have the original one hanging in the cupboard next to the tartan away kit. Have put on too much beer gut in last 25 years to wear them though.

Did the tartan shirt come before or after the pale blue mcewans lager shirt? Boggered if i can remember.

I’ve heard a few people say “The sponsor on the home shirt is too prominent”

That’s the point of sponsoring a shirt! Haha
They aren’t going to pay to have something blend in the background. They want it noticed!

From personal experience whatever you do there are people who won’t like it.

I didn’t want to take up the option of a big white plastic square on the front of the shirt so went with green letters directly onto the sacred black n white stripes.

I was told it looked like a pub team shirt so in short you can’t please them all.

The sponsor has paid a lot of money to the club so deserves their choice of logo.

Home and away kits are both stinkers.

FWIW, with 5 minutes worth of photoshopping, I'd have preferred something like this.
