I've watched a few of his 60s Soul style guitar lessons but somehow missed this one so thanks for posting! How's the new Tele btw?
Might be of interest to any players out there.

Thanks for posting ! Not been aware of this site before and looks good, will certainly check out more of his stuff👍
Always did like Cropper's playing so should be useful to help learn more. As for the Stones, I'd got into stuff like Brown Sugar in the past but it was all open G and haven't tried playing it for a while so maybe time to revisit it.
Yes, a lot of the Stones’ stuff is open G, with the low E string removed.
As for new strings, it can take a while for them to settle down, especially the nylon based ones. A few months ago I bought a guitalele from a charity shop for £6.50, all the strings were broken. It’s cleaned up beautifully and I found some strings specifically for the guitalele (£18) but they have taken an age to settle and stop stretching; sounds lovely now, though. It’s an unusual instrument in that it has a fret 0, I reckon that I found a bargain.
Don't know much about these and wasn't aware of the zero fret either. My experience with smaller sized 6 string guitars for kids hasn't been very good tbh with particular issues around sound quality and keeping in tune -something that doesn't seem to be a problem with ukes. How are they tuned? I read somewhere that they are tuned to A so ADGCEA but don't know if that's right or not? Anyhow, at £6.50 seems you've got yourself a bargain!
Generally, a guitalele is tuned as per a ukulele but I have done mine to standard guitar tuning, eBGDAE, which is the same as my baritone ukulele. That saves me having to learn different chord shapes! I would post a picture of it if I could work out how to paste it on here!
Glad I'm not the only one with tech limitations! (I don't even own a smart phone😄 Often thought about getting a uke and there is a local club in the village that sound pretty good but don't think I could cope with learning new chord shapes atm as I'm still belatedly trying to learn to play keyboard and my brain seems to only be able to hold so much information these days!
