Sad news about John Gwynne. Proper old school and a class act. His darts commentary with his side kick the late Sid Waddell added summat to watching the sport with some great dialogue and humour between them. He knows his darts does Gwynne and he tipped Dennis Priestley to win the 1991 world championships when Priestley was an 80/1 outsider and an unknown name to many.

As well as mostly covering the Lancashire clubs, Gwynne used to report from Oakwell the odd time and his delivery was always top class.
