Ashley proves Derby funds with £50 million deposit

Looks like it could be happening.......better to have Ashley than no club but....yeh...

His is the lowest bid unsurprisingly

Aye-no club or Fatso is actually an easy choice but it won't be long before they see the real cost of having him as owner.

Aye but if he saves them and then gets them back in solid position in Chimpo. . .

Suspect they won't care about the tat etc.

It is very much his business style, pick a brand that is in trouble, get it for a snip and then work it relentlessly.

He wants the club and the stadium thrown in. He has his skip full of sd signs ready to redecorate the stadium.

What a terrible choice to have to make. Go under or be run by Tubby Fatso.

It's a bit like having to choose the way you are to be executed. Hanged or shot.

It's a fine club from the past. I hope for the supporters' sake that another genuine football group, preferably a local consortium, emerges and they are safe from both the Fat Turd and extinction.

They'll be safe from bankruptcy under Fat Pig.

They won't be happy but they will be safe.

the thing is with Ashley, as we all know, he is a chancer and if he gets his mitts on this club he will become a cancer.

He is playing the old victim game to drum up interest in his bid.

He has NEVER had the highest bid, he STILL does not have the highest bid. He is plssed that the first preferred bidders have collapsed and

the administrators have dealt with the sale like pure armatures costing all parties involved a lot of money.

He has put 50m into a bank account for proof of funds for the sale, this has the Derby fans screaming for the club to be sold to him but its

still not enough to be the highest bid. Plus he wants the stadium incorporated in the sale for that price.

This is where Ashley sits and waits, he has the cash, its less than the other bids, he wants the stadium too, now if this new highest bidder

fails, he has the administrators by the short and curlies because the club will go into liquidation unless they accept hero Mikes offer.

He will have done he's homework on the other bidders thats for sure. If he thinks he can get the club and the stadium for significantly less

than the asking price, he will try it

He has a proven formula - buying for peanuts, selling everything of value that's not nailed down, advertise his tat shop on every square inch of the ground, deposit the minimum amounts to keep the asset from imploding, be patient and wait to double his money.

The ground is nothing without the club. In their situation, the highest bid might not win; it is the most solid bidder as this plays out. Magic Mike doesn't need to back down or raise his bid - just hold his nerve - the Debenhams bid proves he knows how to do that. Held out against Staveley for 3yrs man (excluding 1yr PL owner test debacle)

The day they get promoted to the PL from 2 leagues down, he would hit the jackpot just with the promotion money. If that's ten years from now, he has plenty pies to get through in that time.

Apparently they have sold the stadium to a local property developer called David Clowes. He has also loaned the club money to operate next season. And wants to buy the club.
