    New Job for Bruce?

Like most Baggies I am quite impressed by Albion's last 2 signings both of which would seem to have been driven by Bruce. Molumby less so but that signing was little to do with Bruce.

My concern is his management record at Villa and Newcastle. At Villa he got a Championship side that contained Grealish, McGinn, Bolasie, Abraham, El Ghazi and Mings into 12th place. His successor managed to get them from mid table to play off winners.

Newcastle wasn't too dissimilar. The results improved massively after he left. Yes they spent big in Jan but their fans also reckon he got greatly improved performances from players already there.

So is it that Bruce can spot a player but not necessarily get the best out of them?

My suggestion is give the aged Bruce a role in recruitment an area where we have performed so badly for many years and get in a younger man to manage. Taking away a some of the responsibility might be good for Bruce's longevity.

I’ve always believed that we should endeavour to stick with incumbent, unless there is a proven better candidate in the offing. There are always plenty of great coaches/managers around, but could they succeed within the management and financial confines at the Hawthorns?
    Accordingly I’d hang onto Bruce.
