    Lascelles is a good club skipper by all accounts but not having the captain playing regularly is not ideaI . I hope Eddie gives it to Trippier.

    Aye, Trippier has won La Liga, been an England international for years scoring important goals and is a quality player. Most importantly he seems very vocal and has leadership qualities

    I think most on here agree with this, also as much important I feel that the full-back position is the most ideal to see the game from for the captain. From that position, they can follow the flow of the game and see potential build-ups of play for both their own team and the opposition.
