    GK - Slocombe / Brooks
    CB - Cameron / Chicksen
    CB - Baldwin / Rawlinson
    CB - Bajrami / Brindley
    RW - Adebayo-Rowling / Nemane
    LW - Taylor / Roberts
    CM - Palmer / Francis
    CM - Vincent / O’Brien
    AM - Rodrigues / Austin
    ST - Langstaff / Mitchell
    ST - Scott / Munakandafa

Brooks, Munakandafa likely to be loaned out. Roberts unlikely to playing LWB and the midfield looking lightweight so a GK, LW, CM and ST certainly needed.
When you set it out like this, it simply demonstrates again that the (big!) weakness is in defensive midfield, and maybe left-wing-back to a lesser extent.

I don't really regard Palmer as a defensive player and Francis seems too lightweight at best, or straight not good enough at worst.

At RWB we've got the option of TAR, Austin or Brindley at a stretch, but at LWB we've only really got Taylor and Chicksen.

I don't see Nemane or Roberts serving any useful purpose as defenders or central attacking midfielders. They're both predominantly wingers, which raises the question of whether Luke Williams will revert to a back four option which permits us to play with orthodox wide attackers more often.

Still makes you wonder how we will fit in all of our attacking talent into one team. Now we will probably have the two new lads up top, where will Ruben, Roberts & Austin fit in behind them? Would be criminal for any of these to be bench warmers imo

Could go 3-5-2 with actual wingers. If we play the new centre back as a defensive midfielder with Chicksen and Brindley alongside Cameron then the right/left centre back would go to the full back and Bajrami could slot into the centre back position

When defending, the defensive midfielder drops into centre back and you defend as a 4

It will be a challenge, but a good one to have.

I wouldn’t say criminal or bench warmers. Good competition for places and some good options from the bench.

Sounds like the club want to sign James Morton based on what Luke Williams said in the post-match interview. He's 23 but has only played 20 league games in his career, so could be seen as a bit of a gamble. Looks like another neat defensive midfielder rather than a beast who will compete for every ball, but we'll see.
