Cal played in Scotland, on loan for Kilmarnock, when he was a youth at Newcastle didn't he?
He'd be a good signing for them. And if the money is decent (which it might be since they got £7mil from Liverpool recently) then it could be a good time for us to sell.

Amen to that. Obviously would be a loss but out of all the key / high value options he's the one I'd be least disappointed with his departure.

If we get good money we should sell as he'd be off for free next year. But it means that unless we pull some incredible signings out of the bag, we'll start the season weaker 'on paper' than last season. Cal and Wootton are both hard to replace, even if you have the money.
I suppose this is the bros strategy in action. Sign young players with loads of potential, sell them on for a profit, repeat.
