    Matthew Derbyshire

Still going strong at 36 playing in Cyprus.

Signed for the Millers in 2014 on a 2 year contract and what a brilliant naturally gifted player he was.

Can we sign another Derbyshire type please and I will be much happier and optimistic about the upcoming season

Intelligent player that certain fans didn’t/don’t get, Grigg is same

Didn’t realise he was still in Cyprus, thought he’d moved on

Tremendous footballer, with great first touch and movement.

The Grigg comparison is a very good one.

One of my sons favourite Millers.
Great little player shame we couldn't hold onto him longer

    Too many tattoos for me!

How did we ever sign a player of that quality is beyond me. I can't imagine the budget afforded the likes back then.

    That day at Hillsborough......🙂
Completely agree about Grigg providing we can get him up to speed and keep him fit 🤔

Wasn't he a Steve Evans signing after he took us up to the championship?
Evans divides opinion but he did something that Warne so far hasn't done and he kept us in the championship.

The players that are blessed with vision and natural good positioning don't really fit into our battle plan.

They need the stamina and drive aspects also. If you find a player with all four of those talents he will be called Zidane or something similar.

We'll keep our fingers crossed that he does it this time.
