    A man walks into a bar …..

Yesterday afternoon Partick Thistle boss and Doonhamer Ian McCall walks into the New Bazaar Pub in Dumfries and looks at all the old Queens photographs on the wall and asks the owner if she has none of Dobbie ? When she says no he about turns and leaves the premises ….

    All very “bizarre”

Yes arrol perfectly true as I was in the NB this afternoon and heard the owner telling some of her customers this. She had no idea who McCall was until a couple of punters in situ told her.

I see the pub has now got a photo of Dobbie on the wall celebrating his 4 goal - haul against Clyde - his maiden hat - trick at Palmerston. Hard to believe it was 13 years ago - how time flies.

A slight change of subject but has anyone else noticed the state of the Dobbie statue outside the Arena ? It’s looking terrible and needs some sort of treatment done to it before it’s too late.

I assume Allan Ball and Billy Houliston are also the worse for wear?

Hey Jardi. I know you were involved in this excellent statue so could you please help. It’s not treated like the other wooden statues around the town made by the same person and is in need a immediate repair. Had a look at it during the recent fun day.
