Not much else on tv here, so I’m watching Man City play Bayern Munich in a weird lightning-affected preseason friendly game in Green Bay.

Phillips was just brought on in place of Bernardo Silva and got himself a yellow card within a minute…

Seems like Pep sees him in a utility role?

Phillips played at CB (almost sweeping?) for the first half when they played Club Americas (Mexican team) before moving him up to the centre of defensive midfield in the second half.

Playing a bit farther up the pitch in the twenty minutes he’s been put on for in this game.

I guess no-one on here should really care now though?

Honestly think he is going to be ruined as a bit part player all over the place when needed, sad really but at least he will get a tonne of money an some medals

He could actually make a very good CB as strong and reads the game well.

Maybe if it doesn’t work out he will head back our way in a couple of seasons laden with gold and medals

It's working out well so far first game a none used sub He should have listened and moved to a Chelsea or manure where he would have been guaranteed a game.

Sure once he gets a chance he will show what he can do and get more minutes.
