Everybody should be allowed a mistake or two, that’s part of what makes us human. Boris however has exhausted his stock of mistakes and then some.

At least the BBC will be pleased with their witch hunting success.

What now though?

Like football managers, easy to say sack him but who to replace him with is a much more difficult exercise.

To continue the football comparison, even good managers can be made to look crap by substandard players, and the tories have more than their fair share of them.

Only an idiot would surround themselves with idiots. He's paying the price because he is useless and it was many of those 'idiotic' civil servant / advisors who have kept his head above the water up to this point.
