Unfortunately the feel good factor took a serious dent yesterday, - but there is an immediate opportunity to rectify matters on Tuesday.

Our keeper needs a lot more protection as he looked glaringly exposed, while the same problem in front of goal as we suffered last year seems as though it has come back to haunt us.

However, - that was our very first competitive game, and far too early to draw too many conclusions!

And as if by magic, - the feel good factor returns with a resounding 3-0 away victory at Ayr.

Annan are now in a very strong position - following their incredible penalty shoot out win against St. Johnstone - who will of course be our next opponent on Saturday.

Similar, - very hot conditions to last Saturday can be expected, - so we the fans will need to be patient, and Wullie will need to make the best use of his subs.

No clues yet to what we're going to be like when the league kicks off. A Bad defeat followed by a brilliant win - only evidence so far is we look like we've got goals in us.

Wasn’t expecting that result last night but by all accounts it was a decent performance. Ayr missed several good chances but that’s not our worry.
Another big game this weekend against St Johnstone at Palmerston.

Great to see 3 local youngsters on the park at the end including Wullie’s son Lewis.
    The futures bright

Saturday's performance was the ultimate feel good day. Callum Davidson must have been looking all over the Queen's team to see how he could strengthen his side, - and he could have picked at least half a dozen who would immediately improve St J.

Anyway, St Johnstone are not our problem, - thankfully, - and instead we have another concern, - keeping the players away from marauding bigger teams.

Let's enjoy the season as it unfolds, - and I believe that Wullie Gibson will be receiving a lot of plaudits before long.

I see Queens are getting the Scottish Tory Leader on Saturday as linesman at Elgin.

Its an intriguing point Albertz, - but highly unlikely to add to the feel good factor!

Chuffed as punch for Wullie that we are into the last 16 of the League Cup.

Well done to the whole team and the BOD for getting us to through to the rounds that really matter.

The feel good factor is alive and well .....................and who'd have thought after that defeat to Annan?

Pretty much what I've been saying since the Annan result Jardi. Not many on here keep the faith but that result wasn't the disaster we were told. Annan won't be far away from winning that league. Some big teams out the competition already
