    sammie szmodics

    3 bids turned down.
We need to make sure we don't overpay for him.
Good player but not worth busting the bank for.

yea, totally agree. We want the lad, but we are not going to be held to ransom and over-pay. We will just move on to the next target.

We have got a another done deal just waiting for confirmation coming through, think he will be with us either later today or tomorrow. A midfielder from Liverpool Under 23's.

We are going to go back in offer £5m for Szmodics today.
They do rate him highly and want him.

This next part is pretty obvious now. They are spending the money that we will get for Brereton. He is in talks with a club as we speak. It is looking like they will meet the £20m valuation.
We are now in talks with a striker who we are prepared to send £8-10m on. We will only allow Brereton to go if we get the new striker deal done this weekend.

Its pretty clear to me what is happening, they now know Brereton is leaving, we will get the £20m and they are trying to go back to their number one targets to get them done before allowing Ben to sign.

The other targets where if we kept Brereton, so money was tight. Now they have a little to spend, they will be actively going out to get that business done, and try spend it before we get left in a situation where we allow him to leave, and have not brought in certain replacements.

I will be amazed if we get 20 million for him but IF we end up getting josh bowler on top of improving the team itself then it's a win win.
Word its archer who was on loan to Preston last season.
Gerrard likes him but with 10 million on the table it's hard to turn down.
I like archer but again he has many admirers.

It appears he is on his way to us.
    2.5 million😲
And I have heard that it's still possible that bowler will as well.
    Unbelievable stuff.

Good stuff. I like the sounds coming out of the club. Still a month to go with the window so alot will happen yet.
We do still need to keep adding, but slowly but surely we are getting our targets.
Morton is coming on loan aswell, that's all but been agreed.
    Exciting times ahead.

This all has to be from the brereton deal but what if it isn't?
    We are doomed with FFP😉
Good vibes coming out the club but we still need that centre back but if all these come off it's a great start.

JDT came here because he impressed us due to the fact we believed he could make better use from the squad we have. In particular the younger players. But he was also advised he had money available to spend if he needed it.
We where always going after a few targets either way. As we do have money.
That is without the need to sell Brereton.
If ....and it is a massive if as nobody out there will spend £20m on a player who has had one good half season, we did sell Brereton and got that £20m then we have another budget available for more players. We had always planned for both eventualities.
No club will spend £20m right now on Ben. They will wait and see if he performs again. They may come in for him in Jan, if he has another great season. Or next summer. Those clubs have absolutely no incentive right now to spend that amount of money. And we do not need to sell.
But as our mate from Div 1 is quick to tell us, we are going to struggle. Sell him and the world will end.
We will be fine with FFP and we will enjoy a decent season, with a great RB and a good side. I am looking forward to it.

    Welcome sammie.
Good addition to the team and another boost to a very bare midfield.
Possibly a centre back and another midfielder away from a play off place.
It's been a good day for rovers in the transfer market.

    Another decent signing.

If we get that Bowler and Van Hecke .....I am saying it .....we should be good enough to aim to get in the play-offs. We have a quality side we are putting together.
