    Back in the day (ie the 80s when I worked alongside brokers for a while and was friends with a couple of FC FDs), players were routinely insured. No idea these days

    Mel did state that the insurance on bryson and hughes largely covered the purchase of Butterfield and Johnson

    Wonder if we can get new for old cover, might come in handy with some of the more elderly members of our squad

    From memory we went up with a £55m debt and it was only £120m for promotion back then, we came back down debt free save for a £15m mortgage on favourable terms so you can work out where the money went
