Mings, Buendia, Kesler, and Ings (scored) played in the 1-0 over Fulham last night. Guilbert and Traore with the U23s.

Mings is a 100% committed, do we/ they slaughter Watkins every time he misses a chance. Naming Carlos as vice, vice capt is a bit of a kick in the teeth, with his mental issues, it may actually destroy him rather than free him up to improve, I am not convinced by McGinn either, he may be great but untried, i cannot help but think something has happened behind the scenes or he is about to be sold! Either way the twitter mob need to lay off.
TD Mings and Watkins have been getting pelters for ages on SM mate, Mings for every mistake he makes and Watkins for every 1 on 1 he's fluffed. McGinn has copped a few too but has for the most part escaped it when some of his performances have not been all that - we have a very hard to please fanbase!

Ings played today, are you sure he also played in the BCD game Friday?

Yeah. The commentator on my stream spoke of it. Ings scored the winner in the BCD v Fulham. Chambers partnered Mings at the back. Marvelous also played.

Apparently, Ings flew to Rennes after the Fulham match. Tis only a short hop.

The question should be why? Why play Ings twice in 24hrs?

Does the manager feel that Ings needs the fitness? I’d say that they all need the fitness, having only played 45mins at a time during pre-season.

Or does SG feel that we don’t have enough cover up front?

In which case, are we gonna see a new striker?

Mmmm. Absolutely no source or evidence here, just an inquisitive mind working overtime.

Seems a bit daft but true, Stevie G is definately putting them through their paces! I guess he knows whos in and whos out now, we should see some movement this week, i also noticed he took McGinn off, i didnt see who took the arm band, im guessing it was Carlos?

As a disgruntled McGinn trunched off he gave the armband to Young (Club Capt), who kept it on to the end. Both Carlos and Em1, were on the pitch at the time.

We do love a conspiracy theory dont we, ask yourself a question, if we were planning to sell Mings would he be worth more if he were still club captain (even if SG planned to take it from him) of course he would, so if he was going by club choice he would already be gone, he may of course now decide that he wants to go, which is a totally different thing. Its possible that he asked to have the responsibility removed if he felt it was affecting his game. We will be more likely to see the truth out on the pitch over the first 8 - 10 games.

WTF, apparently Gerrard has said words to the effect of when Tyrone can look me in the eye and say he is ready I will play him, if thats true he has pretty much given himself the sack unless we improve dramatically over the next few games, you might think stuff like that, you may even say it to the player in private, but you dont say it in the media ffs. Tony Butler headline time Crisis at the Villa!!
