Yeah we took 20 mins to settle then played well. Only one side in it second half. I thought Buckley was man of the match or Brittain. He is quality and a huge improvement on Nyambe. I thought Ayala was excellent and is the experience we need. I am still unsure about Pickering. He improved today 2nd half after a poor 1st half. If we are serious about going for top 6 I think we may need to improve that LB area. We will get caught out with him.
We still need a CB. If we can get Van Hecke, Morton, the lad from Peterborough & Bowler I would fancy top 6.

Injury problems hampered him and I expect him to kick on.
If we get all the above then yes top 6 is achievable for sure.

Obviously we may not land all those targets and miss out on a few. What we do not want is Brereton leaving late in the window. If he is going it needs to be now so we have time to get another striker. I'll say it now, if he left we would need 2 strikers. I like Vale, he got no service at all today and will have better days for us. But he wouldnt be the answer if Brero left. He wouldnt step in & get 20 goals like we would need him to. He may well do that in time but not right now.
So we would really need to go get 2 strikers.
The strong rumours in & around Ewood today were about Van Hecke. Brighton are open to him going back out on loan, he wants to come back here. Let's see if we can get that done.
