Only 4 points behind but it seems a big gap, especially when my record of finding correct scores is vastly inferior to Griff.

The final table lads and thanks to all that took part. I cemented top spot yesterday when there were only 5 games left to play and Howoldboy and I had chosen exactly the same predictions for 4 of them, and Blackdogblue and Pete couldn’t make up the difference. A great effort by all, and a special mention to Howoldboy who took it right to the wire and also checks this stuff. Terrific work.

A last “well done” to Nobby for a nice 9 which lifts him up two places up to 5th, also known as the top third. Cayambe and Crusha only got 1s but noone’s surprised that Frank didn’t show up again and slides down three spots to 13th. No excuses Frank.

Anyway, I had the pledges written down somewhere but I’m darned if I can find it. Last time I looked back it stood at £95 but correct me if your memory’s better than mine. I think I have most if not all of it and the majority of if is going to a good cause, the care home that looked after my Mum so well, for the comfort of future residents. The rest I’ll use to buy Mrsgriff and I drink or two in Corfu. Rest assured that I’ll raise a glass to your collective health while I’m watching (on a very small screen) the playoff away leg).

Last season was about the wooden spoon between me & Cayambe, this year glad to be 3rd pipping postie Pete 😎

I’m sure there will be more to talk about with a trip to the Capital coming up for my new club Chesterfield & well done to CUFC getting the point they needed for the play offs…
