    Campy Nou - Latest

I enclose details of a scoping request which was submitted to Dundee City Council Planning department by Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited on 11th May 2022. https://idoxwam.dundeecity.gov.uk/id...=RBRNSBGC0CU00
The second item in the list is interesting as the letter states that this scoping request is the same as the scoping request in September 2017.

Last week when I was doing my volunteer cleaning of the seats in the Main Stand I was speaking to a member of the maintenance staff who told me that this is the last season we will be playing at Dens Park.
We will be ground sharing for a few months and then we will be moving into the new stadium at Campy Nou.
I explained to him that a full planning application has to be submitted and it can take up to a year before full planning permission is granted especially if there are objections.

There will be more objections than an episode of Petrocheli.

That member of staff is obviously more deluded than the fans who still think this stadium thing is happening.

I explained to him how large planning applications are dealt with which results in a pre application meeting for members of the public to attend to view the plans before they are submitted to the local council planning department. A representative of the company or the firm submitting the planning application on their behalf is normally present to answer questions and deal with concerns regarding the plans.
I have had previous experience of whisky firms wanting to build a new whisky distillery or new warehouses on Islay holding a pre application meeting on the island.
According to a topic on this subject on Pravda the meeting regarding the planning application for Campy Nou is being held in the Landmark Hotel (formerly the Swallow Hotel) on 26th September 2022.
If correct it will be five years since the previous meeting about Campy Nou which took place in September 2017.,

Five years with absolutely no progress. And some staff members think we'll be in a new stadium in 18 months. What's Nelms telling these people? And why are they gullible enough to believe it?
