With every passing month we're being dragged back into the morass that St Margaret dragged us out of. Looming power cuts, roaring inflation, militant union leaders flexing their muscles, we'll be back to the three day week next winter, mark my words.
There's no Thatcher to save the country this time though, we're well and truly fecked. Her stature and reputation grows with each passing year, 40 odd years on and any mention of her name still causes Lefties to foam at the mouth and blue smoke to curl up gently from the top of their heads. Sadly we shall never see her like again, God rest her soul.

Defence officials believe latest military operation would improve Israel's position in negotiations to return captives, MIAs; Israel may issue more work permits for Gaza Palestinians as economic considerations take centre stage in conflict.
Speaking to the media, the official said that Hamas decided to stay on the fence during this latest round of fighting in no small part due to economic concerns since, 'the thousands of Gazans working in Israel provide a ***** source of revenue for the coastal territory's struggling economy.' ( Do you notice that, B T ? Did you know? )
The official did not rule out the option that the cap on Palestinian laborers working in Israel could be raised in order to help maintain peace.
(Hamas holds Israeli civilians Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed — the latter appeared wearing an oxygen mask in a video released by the terrorist group in June — and the bodies of Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin — two Israeli soldiers who were killed in combat during the 2014 Gaza War.) They are good people these Hamas !
