Motherwell decline to accept a gifted point and lose to St Johnstone

Motherwell lost to St Johnstone at Fir Park despite scoring a gifted equaliser. Does a 2-1 loss end Hammell's hopes? - External Link

Might not end Hammell’s chances but as sure as hell should end the chance of some of these players ever pulling on a WELL jersey again. We look totally clueless throughout the whole team. Forwards who can’t/ or know when to make runs into space. Midfielders who can’t pass a ball to a team mate or makes telling pass to split a defence. A defence that can’t clear their lines properly and persist in letting high balls bounce before attacking the ball. Nothing seems to be preplanned regarding throw ins, free kicks or corners. We have to get the managers position sorted ASAP as a matter of priority. We then have to hope and pray that new guy gets backing of the board to bring in players who will improve the team on many levels. Otherwise we will end up with a multitude of panic buyings and definitely relegation.

The game might not have ended Hammell's chances, but it has severely dented them. What was he thinking with that starting midfield line up? Selection mistakes cost us dearly in the first 45. Far too lightweight. Morris is never a striker and Tienbey ought to have started.

Louis Moult sitting on the bench at Burton last couple of weeks with minimal game time, should we be checking out any possibility of a loan deal.

Four 'serious' matches, and we've managed a penalty and an 'og'. We have a problem, and we don't have a Sutton, Higdon, or Moult. None of them was going to get an international call - up, but they were scorers. Given the immediacy of the trouble we're in, I'd go along with an enquiry about a Moult loan.

Don’t understand why the Moult fanfare keeps coming … he’s done.
