which would put pressure on Coventry City, with what looks like some more games to be postponed.
No catch up games to be played, with Coventry City having the pressure of relegation with games being
    cancelled at home.
The teams that get relegated more often than not get less than 23pts from their home games so essentially doing that would be a bonus. It's not going to happen anyway, teams are responsible for all aspects of fulfilling their fixtures (barring acts of God a.k.a. Covid) and the penalty of failing to do so should incur a punishment up to and including expulsion from the league.

Coventrys next 2 home games now postponed. Games in hand stacking up for them. To me if they can't fulfil the fixture then the away team should be awarded a 3 nil win and they should be fined. The situation with them and not having their own stadium has been going on for far too long. Time for the EFL to grow a pair and if needs be exspell them from the league.

Coventry City v Huddersfield Town fixture postponed Saturday 20th August 2022

There was 65 rugby sevens games played on the pitch in 3 days, during the Commonwealth games.
EFL welcomes the news that the club [Coventry City] & the Coventry Building Society Arena owners
[Wasps], have accepted the recommendations of internationally recognised sports experts to
undertake a re-lay of substantial parts of the pitch, to try & avoid further issues for the remainder
    of the season.

The next home game for Coventry City is against Preston North End on Wednesday 31st August 2022
to which Coventry City will have the pitch examined prior to the game, which keeps the EFL happy.
So hopefully a new re-lay of the pitch will mean football can be played at the CBS arena.

Reason pitch not ready now, was due to the landlords Wasps refusing to re-lay a new pitch,
but now this week have come to a agreement to sort the pitch out.
Not forgetting the tenant lease for the rugby sevens didn't run out until 14th August 2022.

It does seem like it's being going on forever but it's only 13 days ago that we were due to play them and a couple of days before that when the problems came to light.

This is a professional game in Englands second tier, this situation is not acceptable and for teh EFL to not punish Coventry for this shows a governing body that are not fit for purpose. " games at a push, but this is a club that are incapable of meeting their obligations, and those failures are impacting other teams in the league. For me the games should be awarded to the opposition, if a team just didnt turn up for a game, what would happen, what are the rules? For me it should be the same, one team is ready to play and the other arent there
