According to the BBC report and team line ups for the Wrexham v Torquay game Anthony Forde played at centre back!!!
Saturday September 24th.
JCH bagged a pair in Posh's 3-0 win at home over Port Vale but really could have had 4 or 5. Sam Hoskins continued his good run of form scoring yet again in Northampton's 2-1 win over Stockport. Both Oliver and Banks scored for Bradford City in their 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon but I don't think we can put the two together to give Ollie Banks a pair, especially as he's at Chesterfield Ryan Taylor scored in Grimsby's 2-1 home loss to Swindon in what is probably Paul Hurst's last game in charge there.
Down in non-league, Anthony Ford scored the 6th and final goal in Wrexham All Stars rout of Torquay.
In other news, Paul Warne, Matt Hamshaw, Richie Barker and Andy Warrington were all seen sipping Pina Coladas in Derby's premier nightspot The Pink Coconut (assuming it's still standing, it was there in 1987?)

Lots of firsts here. Freddy Ladapo scores his first league goal for Ipswich and the first goal Plymouth have conceded at home this season. However, Ipswich go on to lose 2-1, the first league game they have lost since losing at NYS towards the end of last season.
On a losing day for the Millers it was a winning one for the ex-Millers in the news. Ladapo scored as Ipswich beat Portsmouth 3-2, JCH did so as Posh won 3-2 at MK, Vaulks got the only goal as the Owls won at Port Vale and Agard got one as Donny won 2-1 at Rochdale.
Maybe best not to mention for fear of upsetting some that our ex-manager also had a winning start as Derby won 2-0 at Cambridge.
And Tilt had a storming game for Wigan
That Tilt that didn't want to play for us
Ladapo says he’s a better player now.
Of course we need to add Wilder gets the sack, and I assume Knill also
Kch scores for posh but grigg and kayode didn't. Tbh I fink kayode got a assist
At the top end of football, James Tavernier represented Rangers against Liverpool as the first ever competitive games between the two teams took place in the Champions League. Nothing of note happened except Liverpool won.
On to league action where Carlton Morris scored for Huddersfield. However, unfortunately he plays for Luton Town but his blushes were spared as they settled for a 3-3 draw. In League 1, the 'Sheffield Two' unfortunately suffered a heartbreaking added time loss to Plymouth.
In the Papa John's Trophy, Josh Koroma scored a couple as Portsmouth overwhelmed Villa U21 5-0 and Trevor Clarke scored for Bristol Rovers in their 2-0 defeat of Crystal Palace U21. I'm surprised he's even still showing up after the massive vote of no confidence he received from his manager Joey Barton earlier in the season. There might be no free pizzas landing on the Warne dinner table this season as Derby lost to Mansfield on penalties but that won't be determined until the group games are completed.
On an unrelated note, 10,741 watched Notts County beat Wrexham in the National League, probably more than will watch The Millers beat Millwall tomorrow night.

Ben Purrington now plying his trade with Ross County in the Scottish Premier League played in the 0-5 home defeat to Motherwell
