Thread: Dike

Another season comes around and we still don’t have a forward, how many years ago was it when we had Gayle and JRod?
    Never been replaced

Could give Reyes Cleary a chance to play.

    A complete waste of space.

No bottle, no effort to push through, yet another one stealing a wage from us.

Isn’t it amazing how many other clubs have a CF that plays week in and week out and hardly ever seems to get injured.

How often did Bob Taylor pull up lame?

    F u c k I n h lightweight is Dike.

More chance of Lord Lucan riding Shergar on our pitch at half time!

Grant will start as the lone striker and Bruce will try and accommodate Phillips no doubt along with El Capitano.

Okay might get the nod in a months time!

In interviews I have seen with Dike he comes across well and seems keen to play. Don't doubt he has an injury but maybe it is Bruce and co being over cautious rather than Dike's attitude? Given the circumstances you would have thought Cleary might be given a chance now but as long as Bruce in charge not much chance of that either😞

No chance of that as TGH not even made the bench! Hope he finds a decent club!

Steve Bruce, in his post match interview states that he is very concerned about the injury to Dike, so not looking good on the striker front, is it? Maybe he will give Cleary his chance, or maybe he’ll just go and buy another injury prone donkey. How about some half time entertainment from Big Kenneth and his pals, a donkey Derby?

Whatever happens with Dike we need to get a number 9 in, with our style of play and those superb balls in from out wide be any strikers dream to play in this side.

Totally agree Dave! Grant is not a number 9 and those missed chances from him cost us two points! Yes he took the goal well but three sitters were missed! No awareness in front of goal and the killer instinct!

No chance Cleary will be given a chance as TGH banished and Reach and Phillips will be first up in Bruce’s eyes!

Can’t be happy with 2 points out of six and we need to win now at Blackburn! Every match is hard in this division!
