We usually lose them so happy days

We battled well tonight so fair play to them and into the next round

Collins just needs one and he’ll start firing in this league as well

Maybe another Steve Howard. Took him more than a few starts but then he paid us back.
Good win...awkward match...hopefully provide some confidence and momentum for Saturday.

Always nice to win, another game under our belt. The more game time we get
can only help to improve fitness and help the team to gel.
Onto the next game, win or lose we're talking football and Kirchner appears to be in the brown stuff. Can't be bad!

Good point from last night IMO, we are at last getting the ball from the wings into the danger areas regularly

Bad point the tippy tappy stuff is painful to watch, I know managers don't often listen to the vews of the spectators and commentators but on this one I wish LR would

Tippy tappy is fine...... as one part of a game plan. The opening 10 minutes of the 2nd half almost cost us dear as Mansfield forced us into mistakes. Once the oppo get the press going swap, don't persevere. Go medium or long. They came out 2nd half intent on stopping us playing out from the back. When a team does that you change tactics. We didn't and almost paid the price.

The bench warmers and fringe players have all got vi tal minutes in, in a competitive game, which can only be good for them in their 30 minute cameos or even starts, should they get one.

I'll watch the game later before commenting. See if the video matches the audio from last night.....

Yes I meant that. Nowt wrong with it a) if the oppo allow it and b) if you're half good at it.

Spot on...which really only means...play to your strengths and be flexible enough to adapt your tactics to how the opposition plays it and how the game develops.
All common coaching sense but something we’ve not been good at for years.

Apparently young Rooney was meant to have had a good game last night and yet that, and his signing, have, surprisingly, gone uncommented on.

I didn't think he did. I'll bow to MA's more expert eye later
