Dereham Town Relegated before a ball is kicked.

I had been planning to be a Dereham fan after Wisbech got relegated to a Mickey Mouse league. Dereham is in the middle of nowhere, and five key players didnt want to travel, and left for eastern clubs like Lowestoft. The manager got sacked over the budget, probably. Dereham were chuffed that they had a good season in the Isthmian north last year, finishing 10th.

There is no rich benefactor, they could not afford to appeal against promotion to the Northern premier league midland division, a significant step up.

The new manager is cheap and has been at the club for fif**** years helping out.

How can something like this happen? Not on, someone is incompetent. Is Dereham in the midlands and northern, errr.... This isnt sport, this is a footballing murder.

It's gives quite a detailed report on their site Frank, doesn't sound like the supporters are happy with the way things have been done, anyway, you can't PLAN to be a fan of any club, you don't pick them they pick you, once it's got you hooked that's it,you don't PLAN to support anyone else

I pick, not the other way round. I was born in walking distance of the Abbey stadium, and i unpick them. I live in the fens, Dereham and Wisbech are fenland teams. It is true that when i went to Dereham, if i didnt feel any affinity, then i would not be a fan.

I will go at least once, just to check it out, im not going to watch defeat after defeat though.

It is disgusting that they will be annihilated, decent east based players will not want to travel huge distances just for a home game, Wisbech had that problem last season.

An administrator has effectively destroyed Derehams season and beyond. Dereham finished 10th in the Isthmian north, thats not a promotion place. They were chuffed they did that well. With five key players gone from a mid table team and now in a higher division, its a shocking decision. The northern league east division is a tough league.

If i were the chairman, i would be raising merry hell. Id be too old to take this malarky, id pull the team out of the league, theres no point, it will be thrashing after thashing. Or get fired by the fans, then they can watch THAT. The league cant defend such unfairness, putting Dereham there was just for convinience sake, not for the good of Dereham. You cant do that to people.

Its Kings Lynn for me, or Cambridge City. Played three or four games for Cambridge Citys social club, that was so long ago.......Lynn are at home to Blythe saturday i think. I have an affinity with Lynn it will be them, i love the town.

You say that you will not watch defeat after defeat yet when Utd did relatively well last season you did nothing but complain when they won,are you a professional complainer Frank,if you choose to support several clubs then there's bound to be one who will fail and you can concentrate on picking fault with them and ignore the other clubs if they are doing well,I've never heard you mention Dereham until they got relegated,if all your teams do well this season will you expand your "support" to further afield,Peterborough Utd maybe?

I thought i had made it clear that i am not a Cambridge fan anymore.....therefore i need a replacement which was Wisbech. I was happy with that except for relegation to a Mickey Mouse league. I cant watch that.

    Thereby, i need another replacement.

Wisbech made Cambridge United, the Argentinian fifth division club of the football league, look stable. The culture and history of a club matters, United have historically treated the fans as a cash cow, while blaming and abusing them. While various persons make off with the loot.

Dave Doggett was a hope, United, Paul Barry got shot, disgraceful, he was as honest as the day is long, he had to go because of that.

Barry deserves firing just over that. United fans are simple and stupid, strange coming from a university city, the last vestiges of the working classes in Cambridge. And by god, im sure the vast majority of fans went to Coleridge or Manor. Thats an insult by the way.

Im way ahead of you chalky, i know what your next question is, its why am i on the United messageboard?, its to denigrate this nest of thieves. I have spent a lifetime following this rabble, spent a lot of time and money, gate money, donations, you name it, i even sold scatch cards in brum.

They went quick, brummies wont read the writing on the card. I want my pound of flesh.

I hope i have already cost them a lot, im sure there are more than a few united fans who read this.

As for Peterboro, yes, if im stuck on a saturday afternoon, its possible. That club has proper investors.

Not like United, cheap, nasty, manipulative, disingenuous, disastrous, leech like, workijng class, socialist, speculators, failures over and over, Quislings, hooligans, louts, robbers, yahoos, loons, comic geniuses, beatniks, disagreeable, glazed, autopsy like home games, plague like, they never go away, venereal disease like, insane, the John Major of politics, the Germ Corbyn.

    I could go on.

Yes i am a back stabber, but look at my back, theres a forest there from years gone by. Am i a complainer?, yes, who could not complain? Not only over United, but complain about this world? I am not brain dead. Dereham have not been relegated by the way, they will be though.

As for being a professional complainer, thanks for the compliment, the above deserves payment, but its free. I am open to employment in regards to insulting whoever.

I wouldn't dare ask why you are still posting on here as you've been here for years and years but I do wonder why you put up long and detailed posts about the players and staff if you are no longer interested, when you've supported a club for as long as we have it's hard to get then out of our system,I made a vow to give up watching Notts after 40 years of following them and I meant it but what happens on the first day of the season?... I'm back down The Lane! You won't ever completely stop supporting Utd,you can't do it because it's to embedded in you, you've still got to keep up to date with what's happening,I know as I'm the same,we all are who have spent years with their club, you would never venture over to the Posh Frank,it wouldn't be right and you know it,a bit like cheating on a loving wife with an older not so not good looking neighbour, you might let yourself be tempted but deep down you know that it would be wrong, get down The Abbey Frank while you game, one day you may not be able to go so enjoy it whilst you can

Hmmm, quite a note. Of course i would cheat on United, im fantasizing right now of invading the Abbey pitch wearing my posh scarf, holding a posh ticket with a placard saying ex united fan.

And while doing that, making vile gestures at the directors box, that would need three arms though.

United have cheated on me, over and over, over a vast period of time. If United was my wife, she would have sh agged the neighbourhood, blatantly, then denied it.

I am not stupid. I dont know why you stopped going to County, you never had a valid reason for stopping. It is for nowt though, up down, in and out, its all meaningless really.

If County were to win leagues european cups, have five players playing for England, its a comment on the money you have.

    Not on Nottingham.

True competition would be County v Cambridge, the teams being locals, like in the old days, not like today, a business man or men from Seattle v Your investors. You are paying for those blokes in the directors box having fun. A lot.

The owners of Notts are the Danish Reedtz brothers who own Football Radar which is a big company operating all over Europe,I let to believe that they pull the strings on who gets brought in rather than the coach, our last coach didn't get us promoted last season but FGR came in for him and he moved up to League One to them,I will never understand the football management merry go round

There was no specific reason than I was trying to sort my life out once I reached 60,stop doing things through habit and do different things so I ditched Notts and planned to watch more lower league clubs at different grounds,it's a bit like finally getting around to chucking out the junk in my garage that's been there for years so that I can fit my new interests in there but only succeeded in tidying up the junk into tidy piles without actually going up to the tip
