I would like to add that I thought Queens were excellent in the second half, but God knows what was wrong in the opening 45 minutes?

How the players manged to put so much effort in with the extreme heat is incredible.

My father attended his first game of the season and his comment at half time was: "there's no difference between the Championship and this league" - and those wise, unbiassed words probably tell us how tough this season will be.

Wullie has made a few formational errors so far this season and hopefully he’s learning from his mistakes. That 1st half performance was dreadful but what a difference during the 2nd. Best for Queens were subs McKechnie , Todd and Paton.
Our home form remains poor though. 2 defeats and 2 draws so far this season.

League one standard has definitely gone up but by contrast the championship quality has diminished over the years.

This whole saga in our history annoys me. The BOD let us get relegated by not acting and it's falling short YET AGAIN with what is, let's be honest a pretty average team bar about 5 to 6 players and this all comes from a budget.

So you have inside information regarding our budget this year? So what was it?

Totally disagree with Deek on this, - Queens have a far better squad than last year, and few could argue that is not the case. In essence, we have the basis of last years 1st team but we have added real quality.

Look at the squad quality and depth. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out it's not very high.. if you predict it's good then this shows a failing on the managements recruitment which I doubt that's the case especially when Johnston also had a lower calibre of player.

Time will tell but I'm not convinced and so far in the league we only have 45 minutes against Airdrie as a positive.

We can't rely on a fit Todd, Reilly and Wilson to carry the squad.

I think you are right Deek that time will tell, - as it always does, - but I'll opt for 'glass half full' and go for positivity as always. Please be assured that's not the same as blind faith, - I honestly believe we have a far stronger squad in depth than last year, - and there are plenty of subs each week vying for a place.
Without a doubt, McChechnie lit up the second half for Queens and it is that level of spark and enthusiasm which needs to run through the entire team.
