Question:- A player wins the ball in a tackle and a foul is given against the guy winning the ball, however, a centre back makes a block on a player when he is chasin after the ball to close down, the ball being nowhere in touching distance and a free kic kis given against the guy who was blocked ---Have they changed TLOG this season?
Yeah the ref seemed he had made his mind up against Barnes tonight... could have been a draw, but can’t really complain.

Barnes should be out of the team-he does not suit this style of play.Cork will be ok but like you say Lancaster, there were a few of us on here who said last year that the team would struggle in the Championship.

We have NO NO natural Striker power at all. It's just like last year; we cannot put the ball in the Onion Bag consistently enough! When Brownhill is the major goal threat for the team, and he is at present that says it all. Barnes and Jay NEVER have score goals consistently. Must buy Striker(s) now as priority or this will just go on all season.

We bossed possession but no one was confident enough to have a go until the last 10 mins, we were a tad unlucky but Watford deserved their win. We were crap at set pieces, lost opportunities.

Don't know what they've done with Aaron Lennon, he looked ten years younger on that right wing.

Borefest of a game until the last 20 minutes. Nothing going forward for long spells, i.e the entire first half and some - no penetration, no ambition, no killer passes - and then when J Rod and Tella came on it was the old problem of dealing with a low block. It could be said you were unlucky having hit the bar, but you need to be more progressive throughout the game. Transition for most of the game was appalling - everything stalled in midfield before Watford eventually sat deep. It will come with time and familiarity but you should be beating one-dimensional teams like Watford. Cullen at least tried some progressive passing but quality throughout needs to improve if you want to play this style and you need to be far more clinical when chances arrive - but you didn't create enough clear cut chances anyhow, Vinnie has a lot of work to do and he needs to demand more. That said, you are in transition so hopefully the finished product will be smarter.

There's a video somewhere online with Vinni talking to the players when he first arrived, he said there was a lot for the players to take on board about how he wanted them to play. He was telling them to be patient, it could be three months work in training before the penny began to drop.
