Sheff Weds fams did say to expect this early doors with a completely new team, we’re going to come away with narrow losses and 0-0s away from home to these sorts until we gel. Happened to them early last season.
We’re going to dominate most teams in this division no problem
We meed goals away from home though, a draw is not a disaster they mever looked like threatening us all game
One thing is for sure, the ones who wanted us to do a Bolton and Portsmouth and slide in division 4 are not getting it, we’re top 6 already a top finisher we’re top 2 almost.

Just think, 6 weeks ago we didnt have a team and we looked up sh!t creek and going bust
Bany steps and Im encouraged by the performances already esp away from home, weve been decent without the fuse going
The key is we are creating chances, surely will start to click soon.
I thought Collins positional threat was dire
Defence, rock solid, Stearman immense (but should have scored)
Midfield, OK, needed to be more forward thinking, Smith seems a bit lightweight
Wingers, underperformed apart from late Dobbin cameo
Attack, just not happenong, Collins seems no better than a dozen other suspects we've had recently
also not really impressed with the upbeat tone caused by this 80% possession thing. If 50% of the 80% is fannying around in your own half AND letting the opposition get organised/rested IMO its a BAD thing
One of the reasons we only got 4 shots on target was Shrewsbury Town FC. Well drilled, well organised. Their defending was the reason it took us nearly 40 minutes to have a shot. By half time we'd had 3, 2 on target. A further seven shots 2nd half, again, 2 on target. Far too much backwards and sideways for what we want to see but if every avenue ahead is covered by an opponent, what choice do you have. 4 games in, 7 points. That's a damned good return for a squad of free agents. Remember, 6 weeks ago we had 5 players. To be where we are especially as we aren't allowed to pay transfer, loan or agent's fees, is little short of a miracle.
Is Jason Knight good enough to go into midfield?
Not a loaded question, but who does he replace, what would he add, what would we lose?
Smith and nothing IMO
