    Rovers close in on Hyam

We have submitted a £2.5m fee for the Coventry centre half. he is 26, good age and meant to be pretty decent. We have had scouts watching him this season and they are impressed. We need him added before next weeks deadline, scources say we are pretty close.

We are still negotiating with Liverpool to get their young Centre half on loan for the season. Liverpool are weighing up their options after a poor start to the season and a few injuries have moved him up the pecking order.

In a perfect world we want to be bringing in 2 centre halves. But one will do.

I believe he will be one and caulker who is on a free.
Both will be valuable additions to a marathon championship season.
Imagine those 2 and bowler...stuff of dreams.

Well the fee has been agreed, with just personal terms to go.
Should be in for the next league game.

Transfer has been confirmed, now for a raft of signings.
We almost scoffed at Burnley signing player after player but it's starting to click for them and we are using boys in a men's league.

Agreed. But I would not consider our start great. We have the same amount of points as Burnley. Only we are forced into playing a few kids. They have spent a fortune. Let's see where we both are in another 39 games.

Good solid signing. And much needed. We are going to miss out on the lad from Liverpool. He is going to Schalke. I'm not sure we need 2 new centre halves. One will do.
