If the rumours are true about Mulgrew, why would any potential manager come to Tannadice if the players are deciding whats what. Not including Watt.

    .

Jr handed in his resignation only for TA to reject it and beg him to stay.

Apparently Watt and Mulgrew have been told they will be offski if JR stays so they’ve been telling all the boys he’s ****e and it’s ****ed the whole dressing room.

    Got the lowdown on Mulgrew.

Apparently under Courts Mulgrew was given opportunity at every meeting to give his opinion as a coach to the players regarding shape and how the team should be set up. Also decided when he trained judging on his “experience” whether or not he could cope with it.

Jack Ross has told Mulgrew he’s a player and if he wants to coach he can leave the club. Also revoked his training plans and told him he’s to train every day regardless of his opinion so that’s why Mulgrew has took the huff.

Apparently at the players meeting Mulgrew gave a massive speech about how he’s been at top clubs and he doesn’t trust JR process. Tony Watt also piped up about how he doesn’t like his training and thinks he needs a fresh approach to the game. Also another player who got away with murder under Courts.

Declan Glass has been told he’s got till November to get fit then he’s returning for a “first team” slot. He didn’t want to go, apparently Aberdeen like the look of him. Chalmers will be off in the next 2 days apparently.
    Made up crap...

    1. Ross hasn't been sacked and hasn't quit either. Look at what the club have said - "Jack Ross has been relieved of his duties". He is basically on gardening leave until someone wants him. If he had resigned then the club wouldn't be saying mutual agreement etc. I reckon the club will be having a look at employment laws to see if they can get shot of him without paying a 2 year compo deal.

    2. Mulgrew came to United on a player/coach deal in 2021 so more crap. Ross telling him he is just a player is completely made up. Mulgrew was at coaching courses recently, paid by United in order to move him into a coaching career after he hangs the boots up. If Ross didn't want his opinion then that's up to Ross for that, he is the one that gets sacked at the end of the day.

    3. Also makes no sense for Mulgrew to say he has been at top clubs... The biggest club he has been at was Celtic. Fletcher, Watt, and Levitt have both been at arguably bigger clubs.

    4. Mulgrew has been rested and on lighter training, that hasn't changed.

    5. Ross wasn't at training full time. He went home 2/3 days a week.

If fox does well over the next ocouple of games. He will be in the frame with ashgar jr assistant coach. Won’t cost the club a penny. If this happens mulgrew will slot into the coaching squad while continuing to play. If this doesn’t happen. Michael O’Neil for me. .

Happy to give Fox a couple of matches - and we need to focus on Livi and Motherwell as massive matches

After that I’m not so keen on promoting an assistant after a very bad run - would be great if club get in O’Neill

Agreed. We'll give Fox a fair crack of the whip imo, purely for financial reasons.

Agree in part with this. Absolutely no way we would reject his resignation on Sun/Mon but then sack him on Tues, potentially costing us a six figure fee.

TA 'begged' him to stay. Belter. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Dont know when would be the right time to even contemplate going for someone like Duncan Ferguson but I cant see that after recent events that now is that time. If he even contemplated coming here there would be no middle ground. It would either be a breath of fresh air & a huge success or a resounding failure. I dont think we would be average middle of the table material. For what its worth my gut feeling is it could go wrong very quickly

Sorry bud, was rushing about trying to get out to do stuff and made a pigs ear of that posting!

While i would love O'Neill and Big Dunc as our next manager, my mind keeps going back to when Mixu was appointed and where that led.

Too many parallels here with 2 dodgy keepers, something not sitting right behind the scenes and ex-United player comes to the rescue!

Lots of rumours and speculation about players not wanting to work with JR but none of us know the truth at the moment. I'm not trying to turn this thread into an attack on TA but surely Mark Ogren must be wondering what the phuck is going on with this guy. Asghar is pulling the strings when it comes to signings (inc. JR) and it has all gone tits up. Surely TA is as accountable as the coaches and players.

RE: Michael O'Neil - I can't see him wanting to come to us. I think he will want another crack at managing in the English Championship.
