Nothing against Hamilton but it definitely looks as if it's all down to the car and not the driver
Damned right, everyone knows its down to the colour and decals that look mean.
All that time wasted in wind tunnels.

It's not all down to the car by any means, of course it needs to be a good car but loads of examples over the years of drivers in the best car not doing well and drivers in lesser cars doing well.

When was the WDC won by a car clearly not the ‘fastest’? IMO as far back as the Keke Rosberg driven Williams

About 3 seasons ago the Ferrari was fastest but Hamilton won, further back the 2 Mclarens of Button and Hamilton were probably fastest but vettel won, further back the two mclarens of alonso and Hamilton lost to kimi, the beneton of Schumacher beat the quicker Williams

    of course opinions opinions

Clearly was used deliberately - IMO your examples were marginal, the DFV powered Williams was on about 60% of the turbo's power, maybe 50% in quali

Marginal or not, the argument that its all the car and not the driver is wrong, I'm my opinion

Bottas had the same equipment as Lewis and allowed to race for victories but was never on Lewis' level

Put Latifi in a Red Bull, Ferrari or Mercedes and he's still be in the bottom 5.....

The thing is, the best drivers are in the best cars. The cars and drivers cost mega money.
The top 3 are fractions in ability and cars. Out side that, the gap is huge,
It would be interesting to see Hamilton and Vettel in a Williams against the rest.

You say that but when Russell was in a Williams last year Latifi got about the same number of points....
