Conway could be well versed in creating "SPACS" in the USA. These are Special Purpose Aquisition Companies (SPAC) where a new shell company with no commercial operation as a service or manufacturing is created whose sole purpose is to raise capital to acquire an existing company. The SPAC makes an Initial Public Offering(IPO) to raise capital. SPACS have been around for a while in the USA.

For example an individual could form a SPAC to raise funds with a proposal (IPO) to invest/buy "cheap" clubs with little or no debt in European football and make profit from player trading and the eventual sale of the club or its assets. No further investment would be needed in the running of these clubs as they would be made self sustainable. Such IPO's could well be picked up in the American finance markets by Hedge Fund managers seeing it as a no brainer and make the person promoting the IPO their representative to run their investment. No special football knowledge would be needed by the Hedge Fund managers or their representative as they could bring in American expertise to oversee player trading. It all has a familiar ring to it.
