3-0 Rams, LR's tactical genius coming through.
So, here we go, a fixture against one of the clubs who 'tried to put us out of business'.
Will there be extra needle on or off the pitch?
Will LR be aware that he's the only man on planet earth that thinks his tactics are right?
Will recent setbacks knock the attendance?
Will we win/score/have a shot/reach their penalty area?
Anyone?
3-0 Rams, LR's tactical genius coming through.
Tactics? Are they wrong or are the players simply not doing what is asked of them. Most of us seem to agree that the slow, slow, slower, slower, slow build up only serves to help the opposition get organised to stifle us. Liam agrees. He has said on a few occasions this season that the build up is too slow. That he wants the attacks quicker. That he wants the players to be more adventurous. That he wants them to take risks going forward. That has been told to the players. Sibs and a couple of others have confirmed that.
He has told the players what he wants. They are either incapable and/or unwilling to do it. You could blame LR for recruitment of players who can't/won't do what he wants. You can't blame him for the tactics as what we see is not what he has told the payers to do.
Couhig will get some raucous chants if he's there.
I checked in the week and there were just over 5600 home tickets left. Wycombe fans believe they'll bring between 900 and a 1000. That suggests 26K. maybe 27K if we've sold a few more in the past 3 or 4 days.
Both have 11 points. GD is only a difference of 2 in their favour. I'm going 1-1.
3-0 Wycombe LR's tactical genius coming through
I hope MA is right and Rosenior finally gets the lads to 'switch on' to what he wants! Time will tell.
I shall try to be positive for this game and, if the fans use the Wycombe events to drive the team on, then I'll go for a 2 - 1 win!
Nice one Derby. Stick that one Coutig.
He will now Sue us for signing Hourihane contrary to his version of the EFL rules
Some comments from some bitter Wycombe page
.....'Derby - tens of millions in debt to HMRC and various other creditors - able to afford players like McGoldrick, Hourihane, Chester, Barkhuizen, Collins, Mendez-Laing. All proven Championship performers, some of whom were playing in the Prem a couple of years ago'.....
Err I'm pretty sure if we were still in debt we'd still be in admin, and these players you mention were all free transfers and on a wage cap, Wycombe could have signed any or all of them and quite possibly paid them more than Derby could
....'I still can't believe the EFL let them delay submitting their accounts, which relegated us in the end. The accounts were already 3 or 4 years late.
They'll be back in the Champ in a year or two with a solid squad. In contrast, we were deprived of the only chance to ever see our team in the Championship. That will always grate. I completely hate them'.....
Err we were punished, Wycombe only ever got promoted to the Championship on a technicality due to covid and would have finished the season outside the top six, they didn't even deserve to be there in the first place and then complained they got relegated, should have scored more points then if they were that good and deserved to be there
